The Greener Gadgets Design Competition took place during the month of February, 2008, as part of the Greener Gadgets Conference in New York City. Core77 challenged the global design community to design a "greener gadget"; to create innovative solutions addressing the issues of energy, carbon footprint, health and toxicity, new materials, product lifecycle, and social development.
